Tip of the Day # 112: Rice Tips

Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to each quart of water when cooking rice, this will keep your rice nice and fluffy! It also leaves a nice aroma and great taste as well ;)

If you ever burn your pot of rice, placing a slice of bread on top for 5-10 minutes will draw out any burnt taste and is safe to eat!

Do you have any additional tips that YOU use when cooking rice?

  1. My Mother in-law used to toast whole rice in the oven on a cookie sheet and then added it to a casserole with water and cover it for 30 min. It is very tasty that way too

  2. You should be able to use it for broiled fish, to make a small steak or any number of kitchen tasks. Make sure your toaster stove is simple to wash. Everybody has experiences of foods spattering or dripping. http://toasterandoven.com/panasonic-stainless-steel-glass-toaster-smoke-violet-nt-zp1h-nt-zp1v/
