Tip of the Day #331: Help Your Bows Keep Their Shape

VERY HELPFUL DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON!

Untying a bow or ironing out creases can damage some ribbon (especially those that have stuck around for quite some time). Avoid both by storing bows intact: to make sure the loops don't crimp while in storage, cut cardboard tubes and wrap them with paper towels so that they fit snugly inside each bow loop. Store flat in a shallow box.

  1. a great idea. I do that with the bows on my Christmas wrath, there's about 8 loops and it was the only thing that would keep their shape! if the toilet paper roll is wider than the loop, just slit it on the side, you'll be able to make it less wide (diameter-wise) and it'll keep it's shape enough to not crumple your bow! Love your blog btw.
